50 Cent Demands Dismissal of Ex-Assistant's Lawsuit

Rapper 50 Cent has filed a motion to dismiss the case brought by his former assistant, Monique Mayers. In new court documents obtained by TMZ, the musician calls the lawsuit a "media stunt" and insists the allegations are baseless.

Mayers claims that 50 Cent fired her after she refused to commit crimes to protect him. However, the rapper's lawyers argue that her case hinges on the assumption that random calls and messages from people asking for "Curtis," "50," or "Fif" prove his involvement in an intimidation campaign. Yet she provides no evidence that he personally called, texted, or instructed anyone to threaten or harass her.

The defense suggests a simpler explanation: Mayers worked as his assistant from 2007 to 2019, and people were simply trying to reach him using the number they had long associated with him. Moreover, she could have changed her phone number if she felt threatened, but she did not.

50 Cent also points out that the lawsuit was filed after the statute of limitations had expired: Mayers waited more than seven years after her employment ended before filing suit in April 2026. He is asking the court not only to dismiss the case but also to order her to pay his attorney's fees.

The lawsuit also references 50 Cent's past bankruptcy and an alleged request to file a false police report. The defense calls these accusations irrelevant to the legal claims, included solely to generate headlines and sway public opinion against him.

As previously reported, Monique Mayers filed her lawsuit in April 2026, accusing the rapper of intentional infliction of emotional distress and invasion of privacy. She alleges that after her termination in 2019, her phone number was given out, leading to years of threatening calls and messages. The court will now decide whether these allegations hold merit or are indeed just an attempt to grab attention.
