Anna Nicole Smith's Baby Daddy Slams Her Biopic

Larry Birkhead, the father of the late model Anna Nicole Smith's daughter, has spoken out against the upcoming biopic about her. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, he said he does not support the project and has no involvement with it.

Birkhead, who is raising their daughter Dannielynn, is upset that the film uses stories from their lives. He stressed that the filmmakers did not get his approval and that it causes Dannielynn emotional distress.

The main target of his criticism is Dr. Sandeep Kapoor, Anna Nicole's physician, who was charged with illegally prescribing her medication but was later acquitted. Birkhead claims Kapoor has been exploiting Anna's tragedy for years, despite promising to stay out of the spotlight.

The film, titled "Trust Me, I'm a Doctor," tells Kapoor's story and his relationship with the model. Birkhead believes the movie reflects poorly on doctors in general and expressed dismay that patients' private lives can become movie plots.

Abbie Cornish plays Anna Nicole in the film, but Birkhead doubts she truly captures the late star's spirit. He noted that many have tried and failed to embody her personality, at least in his opinion.

Dr. Kapoor is played by Kal Penn, who told Variety that Kapoor is glad Penn is playing him and hopes his story will be told fairly. Penn, however, stressed that it's not his job to determine whether the doctor did anything wrong.

The film is set for release on October 16. Birkhead hopes audiences will understand his stance and not view the movie as an accurate account of events.
