Anthony Smith Released on $500K Bail, No Contact with Wife

The former light heavyweight title contender was booked into jail Monday evening around 8:45 PM, facing charges of terroristic threats, first-degree false imprisonment, and domestic violence causing serious bodily injury. The events leading to his arrest remain unclear, but the no-contact order suggests his wife may have been involved.

If convicted, Smith faces up to 26 years in prison. This is a major blow to his career, which had already seen a decline in recent years. Legal troubles may now end any chance of a return to the octagon.
