Aubrey O'Day Hospitalized After Diddy Documentary Triggers Health Crisis

Singer Aubrey O'Day, known for the group Danity Kane, was hospitalized after watching the documentary about Diddy. She missed the group's reunion show in Los Angeles due to a sudden health deterioration.

On Instagram, O'Day announced she couldn't perform with Aundrea Fimbres and D. Woods at the El Rey Theatre because she was hospitalized. Later, in an interview with TMZ, she revealed she went to the ER with symptoms including vertigo, fever, migraine, and vomiting.

According to the singer, the cause was watching the Netflix documentary "Sean Combs: The Reckoning" by 50 Cent. O'Day participated in the film, where she discussed possibly repressed memories of an assault by Diddy and another man. Watching it triggered retraumatization.

"Watching everything from Netflix unfold publicly, seeing parts of a world I only knew from inside my own limited lens, was like living it again, but this time with context and truth outside of me," O'Day shared. She said she didn't expect such a strong reaction, but her nervous system felt like it was reliving everything with more clarity.

The singer was also hurt by online comments criticizing her for not "toughing it out" and performing, unaware of her internal struggle. O'Day has since been discharged and plans to rejoin the group for their Connecticut show on the 13th.

The incident highlights the psychological toll on victims who choose to publicly share their trauma. Fans and colleagues are sending support, wishing her a speedy recovery.
