Bodybuilder Mailson Araujo Dies at 35 After Gym Photo

Brazilian bodybuilder and fitness influencer Mailson Araujo has died at the age of 35. The tragedy occurred on Monday at his home in Alagoinhas, Brazil. According to reports, the athlete suffered a medical emergency, and despite the prompt assistance of his mother, a nursing technician, and arriving paramedics, he could not be saved — he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of death has not yet been announced. Just hours before the tragedy, Araujo had posted fresh gym photos on Instagram. That post has now become a place of mourning for family, friends, and fans, with hundreds of condolences pouring in.

Mailson Araujo was a rising star in bodybuilding: in 2023 he earned his professional card, which opened the door to major competitions. He was active on Instagram, where he gathered more than 32,000 followers, regularly posting intense workouts, progress pictures, and fitness tips.

Death struck the athlete in the middle of preparations for an important event — the Musclecontest competition, scheduled for July 17 in Curitiba. Only days were left before he was to take the stage, and fans had high hopes for him.

Besides sports, Araujo was also known as a singer, performing at his local evangelical church. His multifaceted personality and dedication left a deep mark on those who followed his career and life.
