Brad Pitt's Daughter Vivienne Files to Drop 'Pitt' From Last Name

Vivienne, the 18-year-old daughter of Hollywood stars Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, has officially filed a petition to change her name. According to TMZ, she wants to drop her father's surname and become simply Vivienne Marcheline Jolie. The reason listed in the documents is simply "personal."

Vivienne Jolie has already been using her mother's surname professionally. She received a "Vivienne Jolie" credit in the Playbill for the Broadway production of "The Outsiders," which she helped produce alongside her mother.

Vivienne is not the first to distance herself from the Pitt name. Earlier, Shiloh, Vivienne's sister, filed to change her name just three days after turning 18. Zahara and Maddox have also filed petitions to become Zahara Marcheline Jolie and Maddox Chivan Jolie, respectively.

Sources close to Brad Pitt have previously told TMZ that they believe Angelina Jolie is responsible for the rift between Brad and the children. They describe Vivienne's filing as another chapter in what they call a "very sad, never-ending campaign" to alienate the children from their father.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie finalized their divorce in late 2024 after years of litigation. However, their legal battles continue over Château Miraval, the French winery they purchased while married.

Vivienne and her twin brother Knox are the youngest of the couple's six children. This move underscores the deep family rift, which seems to be widening over time.
