Charlie Kirk's Alleged Killer Surrenders in New Video Shown in Court

Charlie Kirk's Alleged Killer Surrenders in New Video Shown in Court

The man accused of killing prominent activist Charlie Kirk turned himself in to police the day after the assassination. The footage of his surrender was shown in a Utah courtroom, where the case is being heard.

Tyler Robinson, the defendant, attended the third day of preliminary hearings on Wednesday. Prosecutors presented previously unseen video showing him walking into a police station on September 11, 2025, and giving himself up after a massive manhunt.

In the footage, Robinson wears a maroon t-shirt and a dark hat as he stands in an office at the police station. The court also learned that he was arrested after authorities questioned both him and his parents.

Robinson now faces aggravated murder charges. Prosecutors have stated they intend to seek the death penalty if he is convicted.

During the hearing, the prosecution presented evidence linking Robinson to the killing, including DNA allegedly found on the rifle and ammunition, as well as text messages they claim show him discussing the attack and trying to cover his tracks.

Charlie's widow, Erika, has been attending court proceedings. She said this week that each court appearance is a painful reminder of his death and the lasting impact it has had on his loved ones and children.
