Charlie Sheen Agrees to Pay Brooke Mueller $500K in Back Child Support

Charlie Sheen Agrees to Pay Brooke Mueller $500K in Back Child Support

Actor Charlie Sheen has settled a child support dispute with his ex-wife Brooke Mueller. According to court documents, the star of 'Two and a Half Men' has agreed to pay her $500,000 to resolve the issue of unpaid child support for their children.

Brooke Mueller initially demanded nearly $15 million from Charlie Sheen, claiming he owed over $8.9 million in child support plus about $6.4 million in accrued interest. However, the parties reached a settlement, and the amount turned out to be significantly less than requested.

Under the terms of the agreement, Charlie Sheen must transfer the first half of the amount — $250,000 — by the end of this week, and the second half by September 1. This money will cover child support arrears and interest from March 2011 through July 2026.

Additionally, the agreement stipulates that starting July 1, each parent will be financially responsible for the children while they are in their custody. Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller have 16-year-old twin sons, Max and Bob, born in 2009.

Recall that Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller were married from 2008 to 2011. After the divorce, the actor agreed to pay his ex-wife $55,000 per month in child support, but according to Brooke, starting in July 2011, he began making partial payments or skipping payments altogether.

A representative for Charlie Sheen previously stated that the actor should not pay child support because he has full custody of the children, and Brooke Mueller has been in and out of rehab for many years. Nevertheless, the parties decided to resolve the dispute amicably to avoid lengthy court proceedings.

This news has once again drawn attention to Charlie Sheen's personal life, which has often been the center of scandals. However, the actor now seems ready to settle financial matters with his ex-wife and focus on raising his sons.
