Child Exits Tiana's Bayou Adventure Log at Disneyland Before 50-Foot Drop

A second incident in a month occurred on the Tiana's Bayou Adventure ride at Disneyland: a child exited the log before a steep drop. According to TMZ, the incident happened Saturday evening when a cast member monitoring the ride via CCTV saw the child leave the log and immediately initiated an emergency stop.

Thanks to the quick response, the ride was halted before the situation could escalate. After the incident, Disneyland temporarily closed the attraction for inspection and guest assistance. Park officials confirmed the incident was handled appropriately.

This is the second such case in a month: about a month ago, a 13-year-old exited a log on the same ride and fell down the 50-foot waterfall. TMZ released video of that incident, and the teen was taken to a hospital. The event raised questions about ride safety.

The Tiana's Bayou Adventure ride, opened in 2024, replaced the popular Splash Mountain and is based on "The Princess and the Frog." It features a water flume with steep drops, and these incidents cast doubt on safety measures.

Disneyland states that temporary ride stops are common practice, and staff are trained to handle any situation. However, repeated incidents may lead to stricter controls or changes in ride rules.

It is unclear whether any penalties will be imposed on the child's family or if ride modifications will follow. Visitors are reminded to follow safety rules and not leave vehicles during the ride.
