D4vd Case: Celeste Rivas' Clothes Were in Horrific Condition

The preliminary hearing in the case of musician D4vd, accused of the brutal murder of Celeste Rivas, continues in Los Angeles. This week, new shocking details emerged: the clothing worn by the victim when she was found was so soiled that forensic experts could not conduct key examinations.

According to a trace evidence analyst from the LAPD crime lab, Celeste's clothes arrived at the lab soaked, with a strong odor and numerous dead insects. She was wearing black leggings, a thong, socks, and a tube top. The condition of the garments was so poor that it interfered with the forensic work.

Investigators were trying to determine whether a small piece of black fabric found in a trash bag during a search warrant matched Celeste's leggings. However, the analyst stated that the damaged edges made a reliable comparison impossible. Nevertheless, she was able to collect possible hair and fibers from the fabric, along with samples from two yellow stains.

Additionally, dark and medium-blue material fragments were found on the leggings, visually similar to material recovered from an inflatable pool that D4vd allegedly used when dismembering the body. However, the analyst stressed that this was only a visual observation and no formal comparison was made.

Prosecutors allege that D4vd stabbed Celeste to death in his Hollywood Hills home in April 2025. They claim he later dismembered her, placed her remains in bags, and hid them in his Tesla. The musician has pleaded not guilty.

This week has been difficult for Celeste's family, who have had to listen to graphic details of the allegations in court. Family attorney Patrick Steinfeld told reporters that relatives cannot understand why the singer allegedly used a chainsaw to dismember their daughter.
