Desiigner Arrested for Assaulting Girlfriend While She Held Their Child

Rapper Desiigner, best known for his hit "Panda," has landed in the middle of a scandal: he was arrested on domestic violence charges. According to a police report, the musician attacked his girlfriend while she was holding their child, smashed her two phones with a hammer, and damaged a neighbor's car. The incident occurred at their shared home, and the artist now faces serious legal consequences.

According to documents obtained by TMZ, the argument began after Desiigner removed TVs from the walls in their residence. The woman told police that the rapper became physical and smashed her two phones with a hammer to prevent her from calling 911. She said she ran outside with their child and started screaming for help.

The victim first tried to take shelter at a neighbor's home, but no one was there. She then ran to another neighbor's house, but Desiigner chased her down in the yard, threw her to the ground, ripped her designer Dior handbag from her, and tossed it aside. She got back up with the child in her arms and dashed into the neighbor's home. The damage from the rapper's actions totaled $2,700, including the phone and handbag.

But the musician didn't stop there: police say he used a hammer and screwdriver to damage neighbors' cars, then grabbed a chair from the porch and threw it at the front window, "forcing entry into the home." He allegedly smashed several windows during the incident, causing another $6,000 in damage. Two witnesses called 911, and police arrived at the scene.

The "Panda" hitmaker was arrested at the scene. He was taken to Conway Medical Center for treatment before being transported to Horry County Detention Center for booking. Now Desiigner faces one count of second-degree domestic violence and three counts of malicious injury to animals or personal property involving damage between $2,000 and $10,000.

This is not the first time the rapper has been in trouble with the law; he has previously been involved in incidents of aggressive behavior. Fans and the entertainment industry are closely watching the case unfold, as such charges could seriously impact his career, including canceled concerts and severed label contracts.

For now, Desiigner remains in custody awaiting trial. His lawyers have not yet made official statements, but similar cases often end with probation or mandatory anger management programs. However, given the severity of the charges, a prison sentence is not out of the question.
