Diddy sells his Star Island mansion for $55 million
Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has sold his lavish mansion on Miami’s Star Island for $55 million. The deal was closed off-market, with the buyer being JFStar LLC, a holding company based in Newport News, Virginia Beach.
The property at 1 West Star Island was purchased by Diddy in 2021 from singer Gloria Estefan and her husband Emilio. It features a two-story main house and a guest cottage with six bedrooms, eight and a half bathrooms, a pool, a spa, and a private dock.
Interestingly, the sale was conducted without public listing — the buyer financed the purchase with an $18.5 million mortgage. This is a common practice in luxury real estate, where privacy is valued more than open bidding.
According to property records, Diddy still owns his main residence at 2 Star Island, right next door. That property was raided by federal agents in March 2024 as part of an investigation into alleged sex trafficking and racketeering. The first house was not raided.
As you may recall, a jury later acquitted Diddy of sex trafficking and racketeering charges but convicted him on two counts of the Mann Act for transporting people across state lines for sex. The 55-year-old producer is currently serving a four-year sentence in federal prison.
The sale is another step in Diddy’s financial management amid ongoing legal battles and numerous lawsuits. Real estate experts note that the $55 million price matches the market value for similar properties on the prestigious island, home to many celebrities.
