Erika Jayne Fights $18M Lawsuit Filed by Fashion Designer

Reality TV star Erika Jayne (real name Erika Girardi) has filed a formal response to a lawsuit from fashion designer Chris Psaila, who is seeking $18 million in damages. In court documents obtained by TMZ, she vehemently denies all allegations and claims she never conspired against the plaintiff.

Chris Psaila, owner of the Marco Marco brand, alleges that Erika Jayne falsely told the Secret Service that he misused her credit card and racked up approximately $800,000 in fraudulent charges in 2015 and 2016. The designer claims this caused emotional distress and damaged his business and reputation.

However, Erika Jayne insists she never knowingly lied to the Secret Service. She says she only spoke with investigators about concerns over certain charges after having trouble obtaining receipts from Chris for purchases made on her card. She is asking the court to dismiss the lawsuit entirely.

The $18 million lawsuit was filed in late 2023. Erika's attorney, Evan Borges, previously told TMZ: "Plaintiff's claims against Erika are entirely without merit. Independent federal prosecutors made the decision to charge plaintiff with crimes, not Erika. The notion that she controlled the U.S. Government or American Express is fantasy."

This is not the first legal scandal involving Erika Jayne. She was previously embroiled in litigation related to her ex-husband Thomas Girardi, who was accused of financial fraud. Erika claimed she was unaware of his activities at the time.
