Erling Haaland Spends $10K on Western Souvenirs in Texas

Norwegian football star Erling Haaland seems to be embracing the cowboy spirit. During his time in the US for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, he decided to take home some unique Texan keepsakes that came with a hefty price tag.

According to staff at Wild Bill's Western Store in Dallas, Haaland and four other Norwegian players enjoyed a private shopping spree. The athletes spent an hour and a half picking out cowboy hats, boots, western shirts, and belt buckles.

What caught the players' attention most were unusual decorative items. Haaland purchased a taxidermy raccoon holding a liquor bottle for $750, and two taxidermy squirrels—one wearing a sheriff hat, the other holding a Budweiser—each costing $450.

In total, the Norwegians racked up a bill of $10,000, and sources say Erling Haaland covered it. For one of the world's best-paid footballers, this expense is no big deal.

It's worth noting that Norway was eliminated from the World Cup after a quarterfinal loss to England. Still, Haaland decided to bring home three Texan trophies to commemorate his team's historic run.

Although Haaland's tournament is over, fans can still watch World Cup matches until July 19.
