Jared Leto Sexual Assault Allegations: Las Vegas Police Have No Reports

Las Vegas police have stated they have no recorded reports of sexual assault involving Jared Leto. This follows a BBC documentary featuring a woman who alleges the actor assaulted her in the city when she was 17.

A spokesperson for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department told TMZ that no sexual assault reports have been filed against Leto in their jurisdiction. In the Vegas allegation, the woman claims Leto assaulted her in a motel bathroom after they met at a local store in 2002.

Previously, four women accused Leto of sexual assault or threatening sexual assault when they were teenagers. The allegations include an encounter with a 17-year-old in California, a threat against a 19-year-old in London, and claims that he groomed a girl through sexually explicit phone calls starting when she was 16.

The BBC investigation details allegations in Vegas, California, and London between 2002 and 2016. Journalists have reached out to the Los Angeles Police Department, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, and London's Metropolitan Police to ask if any reports or investigations exist involving Leto. So far, no response has been received.

Leto denies ever sexually assaulting anyone. He previously told TMZ, "I have never sexually assaulted anyone in my entire life. These claims are absolutely and categorically false."

The new wave of scandal around the actor and musician has once again drawn attention to his past. While police do not comment on possible investigations, Leto's lawyers are likely preparing rebuttals. The entertainment industry is closely watching developments, especially in the context of the #MeToo movement.
