Joe Rogan: Podcast Guest Cut Off Someone's Head
Famous American podcaster Joe Rogan made a shocking revelation: he said that once a man who later committed a brutal murder — decapitating his victim — appeared in his studio. This horrifying story came to light during a recent episode of the 'Joe Rogan Experience', where the host was talking with physician Zach Bush.
Rogan stated: 'We had a guy in this studio that cut a guy’s head off after the podcast.' He added that the killer had a personal grudge against the victim: he shot him, decapitated him, and hid the body in a suitcase. According to the host, the criminal put on a wig and tried to escape through a hallway, but was captured on surveillance cameras.
The man in question is Sheldon Johnson, a criminal justice activist who appeared on Rogan's show in 2024. At the time, he talked about his rehabilitation after being released from prison, where he served time for a series of robberies. However, just a month after recording the podcast, Johnson was accused of killing Colin Small.
According to investigators, Johnson shot Small in his apartment in the Bronx, New York, then sawed off his head and placed it in a freezer. The remains — arms, legs, and head — were discovered by police during a search after neighbors noticed a suspicious person coming and going with cleaning supplies.
Law enforcement also reviewed surveillance footage, which allegedly captured Johnson in the act. He was soon arrested and charged with murder, manslaughter, and criminal possession of a weapon.
The incident has caused a stir, raising questions about how thoroughly guests of popular podcasts are vetted. Joe Rogan has not yet commented on whether he has changed his guest selection procedures, but this story is sure to make many think about the consequences of giving a platform to people with dark pasts.
