JPMorgan Exec Files Counterclaim in Harassment Lawsuit
Lorna Hajdini, a top executive at JPMorgan Chase, has filed a counterclaim against the man who accused her of sexual harassment. In new court documents, she alleges that her accuser is running a smear campaign against her and is seeking damages for defamation and libel.
According to Hajdini, the lawsuit against her is an attempt to "destroy her reputation" and extort money from her and the bank. She insists that the accuser did not report any harassment until May 2025, even though his allegations date back almost a year earlier.
In her counterclaim, Hajdini says the lawsuit has ruined her life both professionally and personally. She claims that due to the "salacious narrative" presented by the plaintiff, she and her family have been subjected to mockery, ridicule, and harassment.
JPMorgan Chase is backing its employee. The bank previously stated that after an internal investigation, it found no merit to the claims. The statement highlighted that many employees cooperated with the investigation, but the complainant refused to participate and declined to provide key facts.
The anonymous accuser alleged that Hajdini forced him into "non-consensual" and "humiliating" sex acts and once threatened to call immigration on people in his life. Hajdini categorically denies the allegations and calls him a liar.
This case has drawn wide attention as it involves a high-ranking executive of one of the largest US banks. Scandals in the financial sector often become public discussions, and this one raises questions about corporate culture and the credibility of accusations.
It is unclear when the court will consider the counterclaim. Hajdini's lawyers insist the allegations are baseless and demand their dismissal. The situation continues to evolve, and new details may emerge soon.
