Kaitlan Collins: Trump Insulted Me at WHCD, I Wasn't Surprised

CNN journalist Kaitlan Collins revealed she wasn't surprised when President Donald Trump insulted her during his speech at the White House Correspondents' Dinner. In an interview with Jon Stewart on 'The Daily Show,' she explained that such attacks have become routine for her.

Collins said the president 'pretty regularly' makes harsh remarks toward her in the Oval Office, so the incident last Friday was no big deal. The only difference, she noted, was the larger audience.

The president also said Collins never smiles despite being young and attractive and works for 'CNN fake news.'

After Trump insulted her at the dinner, Collins fired back on Instagram, saying the president attacks her because of the uncomfortable questions she asks. On 'The Daily Show,' she repeated that Trump was clearly bothered by her award, her questions, and 'the non-answers that we get.'

The ongoing conflict between the journalist and the president continues to escalate, with many observers noting that Trump's attacks are part of a broader strategy to discredit critical media.
