Kaylee Hottle's Family Doesn't Know Car Crash Survivors

The father of Kaylee Hottle, star of the Godzilla films, has revealed that the family does not know the two young men who survived the car crash that took his daughter's life. Joshua Hottle said Kaylee was visiting a female friend in Maryland, but the friend was not in the car when it ran off the road on Tuesday morning and crashed into a ditch.

According to her father, Kaylee was riding in the backseat with two men the family does not know. Relatives cannot confirm what relationship she had with the 19-year-old driver and the other passenger. Joshua noted that the family has no further details but is in contact with a detective investigating the crash, who will share his conclusions once the autopsy is completed.

Kaylee Hottle died from blunt force injuries sustained in the accident. She was rushed to the hospital but did not survive. The driver was transported to a local hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening, and the other passenger declined medical treatment at the scene.

The Frederick County Sheriff's Office said the driver was not under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash; drug test results are pending. A GoFundMe campaign has been created to help the family in the aftermath of the tragedy.

A date for memorial and funeral services has not yet been set. Kaylee Hottle was famous for her roles in several Godzilla movies, and she was only 18 when she died.
