Larry David Savagely Mocks RFK Jr. in New Show

Legendary comedian Larry David has taken a sharp jab at his former friend Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in his new sketch series “Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness,” produced by Barack Obama. In one episode, Larry appears in drag as Dora Salk, mother of virologist Jonas Salk, who developed the first successful polio vaccine. A character named Bobby, who bears a striking resemblance to Kennedy Jr., harshly criticizes the vaccine, claiming it will “kill people and give them heart attacks.”

Larry, as Dora, fires back with a scathing retort: “Drop dead, Bobby. You should die a dog’s death. You don’t know anything about science, you’re not a doctor.” Bobby then insists that if he were in charge, he would ensure no child received the vaccine, including the measles shot. Dora retorts, “If you were in charge, God help us all! If some idiot, some moron, ever put you in charge, that would be a dark day for humanity.”

The sketch is an unmistakable dig at Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who is known for his anti-vaccine activism, despite recent claims that he is not entirely opposed to vaccines. Kennedy Jr. currently serves as Secretary of Health and Human Services in Donald Trump’s administration, a move that seemingly ended his friendship with Larry David.

Larry and RFK Jr. were once close friends. Kennedy’s wife, actress Cheryl Hines, played Larry’s wife-turned-ex on “Curb Your Enthusiasm” for 12 seasons, and Larry even introduced Hines and Kennedy. However, political differences have taken a toll on their relationship. Hines herself has admitted that she and Larry stopped speaking after “Curb” ended, suggesting their friendship may have suffered because “Bobby’s in the administration.”

Notably, Hines is the only “Curb” cast member who has not appeared in “Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness.” Larry may have changed his feelings about RFK Jr. and his devoted wife, but he clearly hasn’t let up on using the Trump administration as the butt of his jokes.
