Family and close friends of Lauren Bennett held a private memorial service in London to celebrate the life of the singer, who passed away about three weeks ago, TMZ has learned.

The intimate ceremony took place roughly a week and a half ago, attended by Bennett's former bandmates from G.R.L. and Paradiso Girls, as well as immediate family and close friends. Sources confirm that Bennett was laid to rest during the service.

Guests wrote heartfelt messages on balloons and released them into the sky as a final tribute. A large memorial display featured a glamorous photo of Bennett with the words: "Celebrating the Life of Lauren Bennett" and "Forever Loved. Forever With Us."

News of Bennett's death became public on Monday when G.R.L. announced the heartbreaking loss on social media. After the group disbanded, Bennett continued making music, releasing the solo single "Hurricane."
