Malcolm-Jamal Warner's Widow Sues Late Actor's Accountant

Tenisha Warner, the widow of actor Malcolm-Jamal Warner, has filed a lawsuit against his business manager and financial advisor. According to TMZ, she accuses him of professional negligence that left her family without financial support after the actor's death.

Tenisha claims the advisor worked with Malcolm from 1996 to 2023, assisting with insurance and estate planning. Initially, Malcolm planned to leave most of his estate to his mother, Pamela Warner.

The couple had a child in 2017 and married a couple of years later. Tenisha says Malcolm instructed the advisor to update his estate plans to provide for her and their daughter, and documents were even drafted. However, she claims they were never finalized before his death.

Additionally, Malcolm wanted the advisor to help secure a $2 million life insurance policy for Tenisha and their daughter, but that was also not completed. Tenisha is now suing for professional negligence and seeking unspecified damages.

Previously, TMZ reported that Tenisha is already fighting Malcolm's mother over the trust, which she says left their daughter out and prevents her from accessing any money from her father's estate.

This inheritance conflict involving the actor, known for his role as Theo Huxtable on 'The Cosby Show,' has drawn attention from fans and media. Many are discussing how complex posthumous disputes can be, especially with large estates and incomplete paperwork.
