Man Crashes Car Through Beyoncé and Jay-Z's Gate

A scary incident unfolded at Beyoncé and Jay-Z's estate in East Hampton when a 63-year-old driver smashed his car through the front gate at high speed. Police say the man drove up the driveway and crashed through the mechanical gates, causing significant damage.

According to the police report, the driver failed to brake before hitting the gates. His car was impounded, and he was taken to Stony Brook Hospital complaining of pain. He was later released pending a court appearance.

Sergeant Jennifer Dunn, one of the responding officers, said the man seemed “confused.” He made no threats and didn't mention the residents, suggesting he may have randomly chosen the house if he was having a medical issue. He had previously stopped at a nearby home looking for a woman who didn't live there.

The man was charged with felony criminal mischief and misdemeanor criminal trespass. It's unclear if Beyoncé and Jay-Z were home at the time.
