Marcellus Wiley Sued for $500K Months Before Domestic Violence Arrest

Former NFL player and TV host Marcellus Wiley is facing new legal troubles: months before his arrest on domestic violence charges, a bank sued him for failing to repay a $500,000 loan. The lawsuit was filed back in December 2025, but details have only recently emerged.

According to court documents, Wiley and his company Dat Dude Entertainment took out a loan from Preferred Bank in May 2023, promising to repay it within a year. However, the bank claims it never received the principal or accrued interest, despite granting several extensions, the last of which expired in December 2025.

As previously reported, on July 4, Marcellus Wiley was arrested in Florida on a charge of domestic battery. His wife, Annemarie Wiley, told police he poked her in the cheek and threatened to kill her. The former athlete has denied all allegations.

Annemarie told officers she feared further physical aggression and asked that her husband be removed from their room. She also stated she planned to divorce him upon returning to Los Angeles. She later filed for divorce and obtained a no-contact order against Wiley.

In her divorce filing, Annemarie made even more serious accusations: she claims Marcellus Wiley raped her in 2012. The ex-NFL star has not yet commented on these allegations.

The $500,000 lawsuit adds to the mounting problems for Wiley, who was once seen as a successful TV personality and motivational speaker. Fans and colleagues are watching the situation unfold with disbelief.
