Mbappe Slams Paraguayan Politician for Racist Comments After Match

French football superstar Kylian Mbappe has fiercely responded to Paraguayan politician Celeste Amarilla after she made racist comments about him. The incident occurred following a friendly match between France and Paraguay, which ended in a 1-0 victory for the French side.

Amarilla, a Paraguayan congresswoman, posted an offensive message on social media, calling the 27-year-old player a "colonized Cameroonian desperately trying to pass himself off as French." She also referred to him as a "brute" and said he deserved to be slapped.

The politician's anger stemmed from an incident where Mbappe allegedly ignored a handshake attempt by Paraguayan goalkeeper Orlando Gill. However, the footballer did not let it slide and issued a strong statement on Monday.

In his response on X (formerly Twitter), Mbappe called Amarilla a "despicable woman unworthy of her position." He emphasized that she does not represent Paraguay, a country that "has sweated passion and honor throughout the competition."

The player also noted that due to her recklessness and blatant racism, the world has forgotten the historic effort of the Paraguayan team during the World Cup. "I will never allow people like her the freedom to spread their hatred and racism across the world," he added.

The French Football Federation has also expressed outrage and said it is reporting the matter to authorities. Mbappe and the French national team are preparing for their quarter-final match against Morocco on Thursday.
