Michael Beasley Downplays Adebayo-Herro Fight: 'Brothers Wrestle'

Michael Beasley, the former No. 2 overall pick in the NBA draft, is urging everyone to calm down over the heated altercation between Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro in Las Vegas. He says teammates scrapping is nothing new.

TMZ Sports caught up with Michael Beasley at LAX on Monday, and he said: "Brothers wrestle all the time. Sometimes it goes too far." When asked if throwing punches goes too far, he responded: "Brothers play too rough sometimes. That's all."

The explosive incident went down Friday on a basketball court inside the Resorts World Casino in Las Vegas, where Bam Adebayo allegedly confronted Tyler Herro over disparaging comments Herro made about Bam around the time of the blockbuster trade that sent Giannis Antetokounmpo to South Beach. They were quickly separated, and the situation didn't escalate further.

Herro was asked about the incident hours later and said only "no comment." It's not the first time teammates—or in this case, ex-teammates—have gotten into a high-profile fight. In 2022, Draymond Green cold-cocked Jordan Poole during Warriors practice, an incident that arguably derailed Golden State's season.

Herro and Adebayo are no longer teammates, so that's not a concern. But even if they were, Beasley says it's no big deal. "Brothers are brothers," he emphasized.

The story has sparked widespread discussion on social media, with many recalling that Adebayo and Herro played together in Miami for years. Their conflict could have implications for the league's atmosphere, though it remains to be seen if any disciplinary action will follow.
