Nicki Minaj Fights $275K Lawsuit Over Pink Friday 2 Release

Nicki Minaj is asking a judge to dismiss a $275,000 lawsuit filed against her by 24/7 Productions. In court documents obtained by TMZ, the rapper argues she has no personal involvement in the alleged debt and should not be held responsible for her company's obligations.

According to Minaj, the only contract in question is between 24/7 Productions and her company, Pink Friday Productions LLC. She insists that under basic corporate law, an individual member of a company is not liable for its debts, so she wants the case against her dismissed and the plaintiff to cover her attorney's fees.

As previously reported, 24/7 Productions sued Minaj and her company after claiming they fronted cash and provided production services for the 2023 Jingle Ball and the launch of her album Pink Friday 2. They say they advanced about $255,000 in expenses and are now owed a total of around $275,000.

The company argues that Minaj personally benefited from the unpaid work, not just her business, which is why she is named as a defendant. However, she counters that any benefit she received came through Pink Friday Productions, not because she personally hired 24/7 Productions.

This is not the only legal dispute for Nicki Minaj. This week, the law firm Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani LLP filed a separate lawsuit in Los Angeles over allegedly unpaid legal bills from 2023, seeking $229,54 thousand from the star.

The mounting legal challenges add stress to an already busy period for the artist, who continues to promote her music while dealing with financial claims. Fans and industry insiders are closely watching, as such disputes can drag on and affect the rapper's reputation.
