Nivea Reveals Leukemia Diagnosis

R&B singer Nivea, known for the hit "Don't Mess with My Man," has revealed that she is battling leukemia. The singer opened up about her illness in an interview on the music series "Cadillac Chronicles," admitting that the diagnosis has changed her outlook on life.

Nivea learned about her diagnosis earlier this year. Despite the seriousness of the disease, she remains optimistic and thanks God for the progress in her treatment. She says the experience has reminded her how quickly life can change and has pushed her to seize every opportunity.

At 44, the singer has decided to fulfill long-time dreams: she has returned to music and enrolled in audio engineering courses to learn how to mix her own records. Additionally, Nivea is focused on raising her four children, three of whom were born during her marriage to R&B singer The-Dream.

She and The-Dream married in 2004 and had daughter Navy and twin sons London and Christian, but separated in 2007. Before that, Nivea dated rapper Lil Wayne, with whom she was briefly engaged in 2002, though he called it off the following year.

After her split from The-Dream, Nivea rekindled her relationship with Wayne, and in 2009 they welcomed son Neal Carter. Their son, their only child together, has already started a music career under the name Lil Novi.

Despite the challenges, Nivea says she lives with gratitude, showering love on her children and refusing to let the diagnosis stop her music. Fans have expressed support on social media, admiring her strength and positive attitude.
