Nolan Wells' Death: Friend Reveals Horn Island Dangers

Nolan Wells' Death: Friend Reveals Horn Island Dangers

Nolan Wells' best friend has come forward to say that Horn Island, where the young man tragically lost his life, is not just a scenic anchorage but also a "very, very dangerous" place. He says he personally knew other people who died there before Nolan.

Warren Hudson, a close friend of Nolan, explained in an interview with YouTuber Brandon Tatum why he alerted the Coast Guard on the night of July 4th. When he realized Nolan hadn't returned from the island, he called Nolan's mom, Christine, who confirmed she hadn't heard from her son either. That prompted him to contact authorities.

Warren said he had known other people who died on boat trips, so he immediately feared the worst. His fears were sadly confirmed when Nolan's body was found in the water off Horn Island on July 6. The investigation into his death is ongoing.

Together with Brandon Tatum, Warren visited the island to push back against the narrative that it's a secluded spot. In fact, up to 2,000 people went there to celebrate the 4th of July, and Nolan arrived with a group of more than 20 people on three boats — not just three friends as some reported.

Warren also claimed that friends were panicking while trying to get Nolan to leave the island on their malfunctioning boat, but he allegedly refused. That decision may have proven fatal.

Warren himself left the island at 4:30 PM, and after returning to the mainland, he ate, slept, and went to another party, assuming Nolan would be fine and return on someone else's boat. He says it's common practice to go to Horn Island on one boat and come back on another. But Nolan never made it back.

Nolan's family is conducting an independent investigation. A preliminary autopsy revealed he may have suffered a head injury. Friends and loved ones await the results, hoping all circumstances of this tragedy will be clarified.
