Nolan Wells' Friend Says He Seemed 'Completely Fine' on Horn Island

The self-described best friend of Nolan Wells says the teen appeared "completely fine" while they were together on Horn Island, with nothing seeming out of the ordinary. Warren Hudson shared his account of the July 4th gathering in an interview with YouTuber Brandon Tatum on the "Officer Tatum Show."

Warren said he was hanging out with friends from high school and college, including Nolan, and that most in the group were regular visitors to the island. He noted that while he was chatting with hundreds of people, his interactions with Nolan were normal — the teen was laughing, joking, and having a good time.

This matches video footage from the gathering, which appears to show Nolan Wells on the back of a boat as the group departed. However, after that, no witnesses have publicly reported seeing him after 4:30 PM on July 4th.

Nolan's body was found on July 6th off the shoreline, two days after he disappeared. The mysterious circumstances have sparked intense online scrutiny, with theories and accusations spreading across social media. Warren and other friends have faced backlash.

The family's attorney, Ben Crump, revealed that preliminary findings from an independent autopsy suggest Nolan may have suffered an injury to the back of his head. However, the cause and manner of death remain undetermined pending further investigation.

Nolan's funeral was held Monday at Center Pointe Church in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, officiated by Rev. Al Sharpton. It was also announced that Sharpton and Tyler Perry are each offering $50,000 for information leading to a conviction in Nolan's death.
