Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Plot 'Reverse Megxit': Return to UK

Rumors are swirling that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are planning a "reverse Megxit" — a return to the UK after several years in the US. Sources report the couple has already purchased a home in Portugal, which will serve as a staging post on their way back to Britain. The decision comes as their "American dream" has cooled and they feel increasingly unwelcome in the States.

A friend of the Duke noted a growing sentiment in Harry's camp that he "has started to feel a bit unwelcome in America." According to the insider, "the American dream might not be all that it was cracked up to be." While the couple acknowledges their successes, including a $100 million Netflix deal, money apparently doesn't compensate for the sense of alienation.

Interestingly, the initiative for the return comes from both Harry and Meghan. Sources claim Meghan is "fully behind" the idea of reconnecting with Harry's British side. She herself reportedly feels like an outcast in the US and faces difficulties promoting her projects. The couple hopes that with time, old grievances will fade and the path back will open.

The Portuguese home, already under construction, will act as a "stepping stone" for a gradual return. A friend of Harry explained that the house is in a private area and is being decorated by Soho House. It's within striking distance of London, allowing their children — Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet — to see their royal relatives more often.

The family's recent trip to the UK was a significant step: the children met King Charles III in person for the first time in four years. According to sources, they regularly FaceTime, but the in-person meeting strengthened their bond. Harry plans to return in September for a charity event, and it's expected he will meet with his father again, possibly even staying at Buckingham Palace.

Next year, Harry will attend the Invictus Games, and Meghan is likely to join, meaning the children will see their grandfather again. While a permanent and immediate return is not on the table, the trend is clear: the Sussexes are slowly rebuilding bridges with the royal family. The question remains whether they will ever be truly welcomed back into the royal fold.
