Ray J Will Keep Boxing After Knockout and Hospital Stay

Ray J has made it clear that a knockout and four nights in the hospital won't force him into retirement. The singer and entertainer, known as Reckless Ray, intends to keep stepping into the ring despite the brutal defeat at the hands of Supa Hot Fire. According to the artist, he doesn't even remember that fight, the punch was that hard.

In a recent interview on The TMZ Podcast, hosted by his sister Towanda, Ray J explained his decision. He calls this period of his life his 'final reckless moments' and wants to accomplish everything on his bucket list before settling into a calmer, wiser version of himself. 'Irresponsible Ray' isn't ready to hand over the keys to 'Responsible Ray' just yet.

The artist admitted that his next chapter will combine all the experience he's gained in business, tech, TV, and relationships. He's disappointed that it's time to become less loud, but he understands that every season must eventually end. Fans are eagerly waiting to see what this tireless showman does next.

Recall that in May, in Las Vegas, Supa Hot Fire knocked out Ray J with a powerful right hook. Ray hit the ropes and then fell to the canvas. Just hours later, he checked himself into a hospital, where doctors tested him for a possible concussion and examined his slowed heart rate.

That fight also drew attention from regulators due to Ray's scrambled post-match comments. He grabbed the mic and hinted at some kind of scheme, but later denied throwing the bout. Despite the knockout and hospital stay, he's not ready to hang up his gloves.
