RHOC Star Jeana Keough Loses Voice Amid Tongue Cancer Battle

Jeana Keough, former star of 'The Real Housewives of Orange County,' has lost her ability to speak due to severe pain from tongue cancer. Her daughter Kara Bosworth shared the heartbreaking update on Instagram, revealing that her mother's tongue and throat pain is so intense she cannot talk and must constantly spit into tissues.

Keough was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue after suffering from a painful spot for nearly a year. She initially thought a tooth was rubbing against her tongue and visited the dentist multiple times to have it filed down. A biopsy later confirmed the cancer had already spread.

The reality star has undergone two surgeries, including lymph node removal, and has been receiving chemotherapy and radiation for over a month. However, treatment was recently paused due to a deep vein thrombosis blood clot and a leg infection.

Keough also went nearly two weeks without eating a full meal and was scheduled for a feeding tube, but the procedure was delayed because of the infection. Despite these setbacks, her family says she remains determined to fight.

Fans of Jeana Keough have rallied around her, remembering her iconic moments on 'RHOC' and sending messages of support. Tongue cancer is a rare but aggressive disease, and her case highlights the importance of early detection.

Keough continues to battle the disease with resilience, and her family remains hopeful for her recovery.
