Sara Gilbert Sells Her LA Farmhouse for $8.5 Million
Actress Sara Gilbert, best known for her role in the sitcom "Roseanne," has successfully closed a deal on her Los Angeles home. The property sold for $8.45 million, marking a notable transaction in the luxury real estate market.
The house is a spacious farmhouse with six bedrooms and seven bathrooms. It spans 6,388 square feet on a 0.36-acre lot, located in the prestigious Hancock Park area near Mid-City, overlooking an exclusive country club.
Inside, there are vaulted ceilings with skylights, a large outdoor deck, a pool, and a spa—amenities the Conner family could hardly afford. The sale took over a year to complete: the home was initially listed in April 2025 for $11 million, but the price was reduced several times. Still, Gilbert stands to make a tidy profit, having bought the property in 2016 for $6.85 million.
The deal closed on Wednesday. The listing was handled by Jamie Sher of the Sher Group and Jonah Wilson of Carolwood Estates. Sara Gilbert continues to manage her assets successfully, and this house is another example of a profitable investment in LA real estate.
For fans of "Roseanne," the news might be surprising, but it's a personal decision for the actress, who is now focused on other projects and her family.
