Savannah Guthrie Pleads for Help Finding Missing Mother Nancy

Savannah Guthrie has issued another desperate plea for help in the search for her missing mother, Nancy. The occasion is the six-month anniversary of the kidnapping, which the family marks without any sign of resolution.

In an emotional Instagram post early Saturday morning, the TODAY show host wrote that the family is "desperate" for information. She stressed that loved ones want to honor her mother's life, but they cannot do so until they know the truth.

Guthrie appealed to anyone who might know something: "We are begging for help. We are desperate. Someone knows something. Someone suspects something. Someone recognizes the writing in the ransom demand notes. Someone has noticed something different, strange, troubling or just unusual - perhaps with someone they deeply love."

The mention of the ransom notes came a day after the Pima County Sheriff's Department released two notes received by local Tucson news outlet KOLD - one on Feb. 2, the other on Feb. 6. The notes say Nancy "perished" soon after being taken from her home, adding, "Nothing you could have done could have changed the outcome."

Savannah reminded people that a reward of up to $1 million is still available for information leading to Nancy's recovery. She also pleaded for someone to "do the right thing," a message she has repeated in previous posts about this heartbreaking case.

The journalist ended the post with a promise not to give up: "We will never stop looking for answers - and we will never stop looking for the light. We will always be hoping and praying and believing in the best of our world - in spite of circumstance."

Nancy has been missing since February 1. Authorities have recovered video of a masked man at her door that night, but no suspect has been identified. The case remains open, and the family continues to urge anyone with information to come forward.
