Savannah Guthrie Pleads for Help Finding Mom 6 Months After Kidnapping

Six months have passed since 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie was abducted from her Arizona home, and police have yet to solve the case. With no answers in sight, Savannah Guthrie is making a desperate public appeal for information.

On Saturday, the Today show host took to Instagram to share a photo of her mother along with an emotional message marking the six-month anniversary. Savannah wrote: "This is our beautiful Mom. Six months ago, someone took her out of her bed in the dead of night. We have lived every moment, every breath, and every heartbeat in agony and despair ever since."

The journalist revealed that she and her family, including siblings Annie and Camron Guthrie, have spent every waking moment searching for Nancy. "Every day, we wake up and try to be strong and go on – because that's what our joyful and resilient Mom taught us to do. But make no mistake – our hearts are in ruins. We spend every waking moment thinking of her, longing for her, looking for her," she shared.

Days after the kidnapping, a ransom note dated February 6 claimed Nancy had "perished" from a "heart-related" issue and was buried in nature. Despite this, the family still hopes to find her and give her a proper funeral, which is why Savannah is begging anyone with information – or the alleged kidnapper – to come forward.

"We are begging for help. We are desperate. We need someone to come forward. Someone knows something. Someone suspects something. Someone recognizes the writing in the ransom demand notes," she wrote. She also mentioned that the reward is available and that tips can be made anonymously.

Savannah concluded her post by saying the family will never give up: "We will never stop looking for answers – and we will never stop looking for the light. We will always be hoping and praying and believing in the best of our world – in spite of circumstance. Please. Bring her home."

The case has drawn widespread attention, with many fans offering support. However, Savannah also criticized those following the story for entertainment, saying they are "part of the harm perpetrated against her." The search for Nancy Guthrie continues, and the family remains hopeful that someone will do the right thing.
