Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag Sued Over Dog Bite

Reality TV stars Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag are facing a lawsuit from a former assistant who claims he was bitten by their guard dog. The incident allegedly occurred when he stopped by their home to run errands for the couple.

According to the lawsuit, filed by a man named Cole Gill, he was attacked by the couple's Dutch Shepherd, Ego, on November 17, 2025. Gill says he entered the property in Carpinteria, California, at Spencer and Heidi's request to pick up a credit card and complete other tasks.

Gill claims the dog bit his right thigh, causing puncture wounds, permanent scarring, and emotional trauma. He says he has undergone scar-removal treatment and counseling, and has lost income as a result of the incident.

Under California law, dog owners are held liable if their dog bites someone who is lawfully on the property. Gill is seeking damages for lost wages, medical expenses, and other losses related to the attack.

The lawsuit comes about a month after Spencer Pratt's bid to become Los Angeles mayor ended in failure, as he was eliminated from the race. Now the 'Hills' stars have to deal with this legal battle.

Representatives for Spencer and Heidi have not yet commented on the situation. Fans of the couple, known for their controversial reputation, are closely watching the developments. Legal experts note that dog bite lawsuits are not uncommon, but for public figures, they can bring additional reputational challenges.
