Spencer Pratt's Dad Tried to Put Out Palisades Fire Before Firefighters Arrived

William Pratt, the father of reality TV star Spencer Pratt, found himself at the center of a new fire in Pacific Palisades. Spotting flames at a construction site, he rushed to extinguish the blaze before emergency services arrived.

The incident occurred last Friday as William was driving toward his property. Suddenly, he noticed a two-story, single-family home under construction engulfed in fire. Without hesitation, he stopped and hurried to help.

According to NBC Los Angeles, William Pratt immediately called 911 and then attempted to fight the fire with a garden hose. Firefighters arrived six minutes after the call, and it took them another twenty minutes to fully extinguish the flames.

William admitted that the ordeal triggered post-traumatic stress disorder. This is not surprising: in January 2025, he and his son lost their own homes in the devastating Palisades Fire, which destroyed thousands of structures in the Los Angeles area.

The cause of the new fire is still under investigation. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the damage was limited to the construction site.

For the Pratt family, this is not the first encounter with fire. Spencer and his wife Heidi Montag previously recounted how they narrowly escaped their home during the January fires, grabbing only essentials. Now, the star's father has again shown bravery and selflessness in a critical situation.

Residents of Pacific Palisades remain on edge: California's fire season is becoming increasingly unpredictable, and each new blaze reminds them of the tragedy they endured. William Pratt, also known as a former candidate for Los Angeles mayor, once again demonstrated his readiness to act despite personal fears.
