Stefon Diggs: Court Orders Accuser to Hand Over DMs with NFL Star

A Maryland court has ordered the man accusing Stefon Diggs of sexual assault to turn over his private messages with the NFL star to the athlete's legal team. The ruling concerns Instagram Direct messages exchanged between the Houston Texans wide receiver and his accuser, Christopher Griffith, as revealed by documents obtained by TMZ.

According to the court order, Griffith has 14 days to produce his entire Instagram DM history with Stefon Diggs. He must also hand over all documents related to his trip to Maryland between May 20 and 23, 2023 — the weekend when the alleged assault took place. This includes flight tickets, baggage receipts, hotel bookings, and ride-share receipts.

In addition to social media correspondence, the accuser is required to provide text exchanges between him and Diggs, as well as any conversations he had about the football player — whether with Diggs himself or with third parties. However, the judge denied Diggs' request for sanctions against the accuser.

As previously reported, Stefon Diggs initially filed a defamation lawsuit against Christopher Griffith, claiming the sexual assault allegations ruined his reputation and caused him harm. Griffith countersued, alleging that Diggs drugged and sexually assaulted him. He claimed Diggs exposed himself and invited him to his room, but Griffith refused.

In court filings, Griffith further alleged that a week after the incident, Diggs' brother and others beat him up in an attempt to silence him. These accusations have not been independently verified. The case continues to unfold, with the content of the deleted messages potentially becoming a key piece of evidence.
