Stefon Diggs Slams Male Assault Accuser: 'Completely False'

NFL star Stefon Diggs has vehemently denied allegations of sexual assault made by a man who is suing him, calling the claims "completely false and defamatory."

The ongoing legal battle between Diggs and Christopher Griffith has taken a new turn, with Diggs filing court documents that label Griffith's story as "entirely fabricated." The dispute began when Diggs sued Griffith for allegedly spreading lies, and Griffith countersued over an alleged incident on May 22, 2023, at Diggs' Maryland home.

Griffith claims that Diggs drugged him and then made unwanted sexual advances, including exposing himself and masturbating in a car, attempting to kiss him, and inviting him to his room. After Griffith refused, he says Diggs had his brother and two other men attack him a week later to keep him quiet.

In the latest court filings, Diggs' legal team submitted transcripts from Griffith's deposition, where he was questioned about his statements to third parties about wanting to maintain a relationship with the player after the alleged assault.

During the deposition, Griffith was asked, "Why would you want to try to get back on track with someone who tried to drug you and then take advantage of you?" He responded, "I don't deem -- I don't think that the story had to end that way. I, at least, just wanted to let him know that, you know, who you are sexually is who you are sexually, and I respect that. I just ask that you respect who I am sexually and not overstep my boundaries."

Diggs' lawyers argue that Griffith showed no signs of severe emotional distress, which is a key part of his claim, and they are asking the judge to dismiss that portion of the lawsuit.

The case has drawn significant media attention, not only in sports circles but also in celebrity gossip columns. As the legal proceedings continue, both parties remain firm in their positions, and a resolution is not yet in sight.
