Taco Bell Investigated Over Diarrhea Parasite Outbreak

Late-night Taco Bell runs might need a pause: the fast-food chain is under investigation amid a national outbreak of a parasite that causes severe diarrhea. According to The Washington Post, the probe is ongoing, and leafy lettuce is the leading suspect, though other food items haven't been ruled out.

Importantly, the investigation extends beyond Taco Bell, as officials look into various potential sources. Not all cases trace back to the chain, but the company has already removed fresh ingredients like lettuce, pico de gallo, guacamole, and cilantro-onion blend from some locations.
