Tori Spelling and Hayden Panettiere Cancel Creep I.E. Con Appearances

An eerie coincidence hit Creep I.E. Aftermath in Ontario, California: Tori Spelling and Hayden Panettiere both pulled out of the horror convention within hours of each other.

The actresses were scheduled to appear Saturday and Sunday, but on Friday organizers announced their appearances were canceled due to an unknown "emergency" for each star. Representatives for both have not yet responded to requests for comment.

Hayden Panettiere is best known for playing Kirby Reed in the "Scream" franchise. She first appeared in 2011's "Scream 4" and reprised the fan-favorite role in "Scream VI." She also starred in the interactive horror game "Until Dawn" in 2015.

Tori Spelling has a long history with horror films, including "Death of a Cheerleader" (1994), "Scream 2" (1997), "Trick" (1999), and "Scary Movie 2" (2001). Her genre credentials make her a regular at such events.

The last-minute cancellations were not the only changes to the weekend's lineup. Christina Ricci, John Carroll Lynch, and Carel Struycken also rescheduled their appearances. Despite the shake-up, organizers promise fans a packed schedule of other activities and meet-and-greets.
