Trump's Fountains Turn Brown: Another Beautification Fail

The historic fountains at Meridian Hill Park in Washington, D.C., have reopened after a months-long renovation ordered by President Trump. But instead of clear water, visitors are greeted by murky brown liquid that looks more like something from a public restroom than a serene park feature.

The water is so dirty that even the famous Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool looks pristine in comparison. This is not the first time a beautification project overseen by the Trump administration has ended in failure.

Just a week ago, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth visited the park with National Guard members to celebrate the successful completion of the work. At that time, the water was crystal clear, and the project seemed to be a triumph.

Now, the National Park Service is monitoring the water, which has turned brown. The exact cause has not been announced, but the situation has raised many questions among visitors and experts alike.

This is not the first such incident in the capital. Earlier, the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool suddenly turned green after renovation due to an algae bloom. That project is still ongoing, accompanied by arrests, charges against former Olympian David Hearn, and the rehiring of the same company that did the initial repairs.

The Trump administration seems to keep facing issues with national park beautification. The brown water in the Meridian Hill fountains has become a symbol of another failed endeavor, sparking mockery and criticism on social media.

One can only hope that specialists will quickly fix the situation, but for now, park visitors have to look at a brown puddle that hardly adds charm to this historic site.
