Chris Johnson Relaunches Ice Bucket Challenge After ALS Diagnosis

Former NFL star Chris Johnson, who recently announced his diagnosis of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), has decided to revive the famous Ice Bucket Challenge. In a video shared online, his daughter pours a bucket of ice water over his head, and he calls on other celebrities to join the campaign.

Johnson emphasized the importance of raising awareness about ALS and funding research. He reminded that the 2014 Ice Bucket Challenge raised over $115 million worldwide, significantly accelerating the search for treatments.

The first to respond were former NFL players Marshawn Lynch and LenDale White, who also posted their own ice water dousing videos, supporting Johnson's initiative. Both Lynch and White are known for their colorful NFL careers and now use their fame for a good cause.

Chris Johnson also named other celebrities he is challenging: Vince Young and Deion Sanders. It is expected that many athletes and show business stars will join the campaign to draw attention to ALS.

The revival of the Ice Bucket Challenge comes at a time when ALS research has gained new momentum thanks to previous campaigns. Scientists note that the funds raised in 2014 helped discover new genes associated with the disease and develop experimental therapies.
