D4vd's Disturbing Photos with Murdered Teen Celeste Rivas: Parents Overcome in Court

Our hearts break for the parents of Celeste Rivas... Friday marked the fourth day of preliminary hearings in Los Angeles Superior Court for D4vd (real name David Anthony Burke), accused of murdering the missing 14-year-old at his Hollywood Hills home in April 2025. Prosecutors presented text messages and graphic photos of Celeste engaging in sexual acts with the 21-year-old singer, leaving her parents so shaken they had to leave the courtroom.

According to People, the pair exchanged messages about pregnancy and abortion when Celeste was just 13. On January 8, 2024, she wrote: "Both of us aren't able to take care of it." LAPD detective Corey Farell testified they discussed abortion, birth control, Plan B, and breaking up multiple times. Additionally, over 40 images of child sexual abuse material involving Celeste were found on D4vd's phone, including pictures of the two together. Horrific.

Prosecutors detailed those graphic photos, which visibly upset the teen's parents. During Farell's testimony, Celeste's mother, Mercedes Martinez, became so distraught that Deputy District Attorney Beth Silverman urged her to leave: "This is too much. I know how hard this is." Both parents exited in tears, as reported by TMZ. We can't imagine what they are going through.

Per People, Celeste and D4vd started talking on August 8, 2022, when she was 11, and began a sexual relationship in November 2023 when she was 13 and he was 18. A month before her murder, Celeste texted D4vd on March 14 to break up: "We can be friends online and I don't want to have anything to do with you in person anymore. All we do is have sex and hang out man, I want more for myself, without a label too is insane." D4vd replied: "Yeah, boundary setting is terrible." But Celeste pushed back: "It's not even that David. I want more than just that."
