Jeana Keough's family has provided an update on her condition after revealing her shocking tongue cancer diagnosis. The 70-year-old Real Housewives of Orange County alum was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue, as announced by her daughter Kara.

Kara shared that what started as a painful spot on her mother's tongue, initially thought to be caused by a tooth, turned into a full cancer battle involving chemotherapy, radiation, and immunotherapy. A biopsy confirmed their worst fears.

To support Jeana, who is currently unable to work, Kara launched a GoFundMe campaign. The initial goal of $22,000 was quickly raised to $90,000 thanks to generous donations from celebrities like Andy Cohen ($5,000), Tamra Judge, Vicki Gunvalson, and others.

In an emotional Instagram post, Kara showed her mother in a hospital bed and wrote: 'She cried when I showed her how many of you have donated and sent prayers. We're reading all your encouraging words, and my sweet mama is blown away by the kindness.' Kara added that the support helps her sleep better at night.

Kara's brother Shane told Us Weekly that their mother is strong and has a good support system. 'We don't know what will happen, but she refuses to acknowledge she's sick, and we believe the cancer will listen to her,' Kara said. The family remains hopeful.
