Jennifer Garner Slams Paparazzi for Endangering Her Kids
Jennifer Garner has spoken out again about the aggressive behavior of paparazzi, who she says posed a real danger to her children. In an appearance on Netflix's podcast 'Shut Up Evan,' the actress detailed how photographers harassed her family, crossing all boundaries.
According to the 54-year-old star, the situation got so bad that her son had to quit soccer: up to 20 paparazzi cars would show up at every practice. The association asked them to stop attending because it caused chaos. Garner recalls how photographers once blocked the entrance to a pediatrician's office when her child was sick.
The actress acknowledges her family's privilege but emphasizes that paparazzi behavior spiraled out of control. 'Kids are paying the price,' she says. 'Little ones were knocked over coming out of preschool because photographers were so hungry to get to me or Ben.' Garner also noted that her more famous neighbors, including Matt Damon, didn't face such attention—the paps targeted 'the chick with the kids.'
Despite everything, Garner has a complicated relationship with two photographers who have covered her for over two decades. She calls it 'Stockholm syndrome': once, she even ran to one of them for protection when she felt threatened by another stalker. Still, she's called the cops on them countless times.
