Justin Baldoni Ordered to Pay New York Times $171,616 in Legal Fees

Justin Baldoni has suffered another legal setback in his ongoing battle with Blake Lively and The New York Times. A court has ordered his company, Wayfarer Studios, to pay the newspaper $171,616 in legal fees after his defamation lawsuit against the Times was dismissed.

Baldoni and his studio had sued Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds for $400 million, and the New York Times for $250 million, alleging defamation over an article about the drama on the set of "It Ends With Us." Baldoni claimed the article was part of a smear campaign against him.

A federal judge also ruled that Baldoni and Wayfarer must cover Blake Lively's legal fees, though the final amount is still being determined. Lively's legal team has requested just over $8 million.
