Kim Zolciak Avoids Jail by Paying Divorce Debt
Kim Zolciak narrowly escaped a major legal headache in her bitter divorce battle with Kroy Biermann. The former Real Housewives of Atlanta star faced possible jail time if she didn't pay money owed in the case — but she took care of it just in time.
According to TMZ, a Georgia judge had ordered Kim to pay $2,535 in unpaid fees to the guardian ad litem appointed in the divorce. The guardian interviewed Kim, Kroy, and their four minor children to make custody recommendations. The judge warned Kim she could be incarcerated if the bill wasn't paid by next month.
Fortunately for Kim, crisis averted! Sources told the outlet that she paid the balance in full last Tuesday, removing the threat of jail before things got messier.
This is just the latest twist in one of reality TV's most exhausting breakups. Kim and Kroy have been fighting over custody, money, and everything else for years. The guardian ad litem has also become part of the drama, with Kim arguing he didn't take her allegations against Kroy seriously, while the former Atlanta Falcons star denied the claims.
Meanwhile, family tension remains high. Kim's daughter Brielle Biermann recently revealed she hasn't spoken to Kroy in a while and doesn't expect him at her upcoming wedding. One thing's for sure: this divorce keeps delivering new drama. But at least for now, Kim can cross "possible jail time" off her list of problems.
