Lionel Richie Returns to Stage After Hospitalization

Lionel Richie is back on stage for the first time since his health scare led to hospitalization. The music icon performed Tuesday night in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, as part of his “Sing a Song All Night Long” tour with Earth, Wind & Fire. He looked energetic and quickly got back into his groove.

The return was a relief for fans after shows in Chicago (Friday) and Columbus (Saturday) were postponed due to Richie's illness. The incident occurred at a concert in St. Paul, Minnesota, where the singer told the audience he felt dizzy and strange before being taken to a hospital.

His manager, John Paris, later told the Minnesota Star Tribune that Richie was simply a little dehydrated. Fortunately, the star recovered quickly and resumed his tour within days. Lionel Richie's tour is scheduled to end on August 14.

For the 74-year-old artist, this tour is a major event: it brings together two legendary acts on one stage, performing hits from the 70s and 80s. Fans were worried after the hospitalization, but now that Richie is back, organizers hope the remaining dates will go smoothly.
